UCSF School of Medicine and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Division of Pulmonary, Department of Pediatrics Health Sciences (HS) Clinical Faculty Series
The UCSF Division of Pediatric Pulmonology, Cystic Fibrosis and Sleep Medicine is seeking two new faculty members at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level in the Department of Pediatrics. We are seeking one candidate who is board certified/eligible in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine and one candidate who is board certified/eligible in Sleep Medicine. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in clinical care and/or research and acknowledged superior teaching skills. Candidates focusing on careers as physician-scientists or clinician educators will be equally considered.
The pulmonary division offers both inpatient and outpatient services and continuity care and has a comprehensive Cystic Fibrosis Center, a comprehensive sleep disorders program with accredited sleep fellowship training and sleep center, muscular disorders program, severe asthma program, state-of-the art Pulmonary Function and Exercise Laboratory, technology dependent program, aerodigestive program and general pulmonary clinics. We are also a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation designated Therapeutic Development Center. We make a difference by serving our patients, their families and the worldwide medical community. We train pulmonologists and physician scientists of tomorrow and advance medical knowledge and patient care through our research. Strong clinical demand and an expanding division will offer the new faculty member an exciting array of opportunities to participate in the growth and development of the division.
Qualified candidates will possess a medical degree and license, board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine and/or Sleep Medicine at the time of hire. The candidate will be expected to provide ambulatory and inpatient care including bronchoscopies at Benioff Children’s Hospitals and multi-specialty outpatient clinics. Responsibilities include developing a strong clinical and teaching base for medical students, residents and fellows.
