This position’s primary responsibilities will be the provision of clinical imaging services to the NC State Veterinary Hospital and the training of senior DVM students and hospital house officers. The successful incumbent will:
Provide clinical radiology services within the Veterinary Hospital.
Actively participate in veterinary and graduate teaching programs. Supervise and train residents in veterinary radiology, conduct student rounds, attend clinic rounds and present known case conferences to radiology residents.
Contribute to the knowledge base of the professional discipline through collaborative research with other clinical specialists or basic scientists.
Provide teleradiology consultations to referring veterinarians and others.
The radiology faculty is committed to making this position as flexible as possible to fit the desires of the successful applicant. Clinical service can be tailored to suit the interests of the faculty member. Excellent opportunities exist for independent or collaborative investigational activities and for innovations in teaching. Strong ties exist between the College and area medical schools. The Comparative Medicine Institute (CMI) located on the NC State Veterinary Hospital campus provides excellent opportunities for participation in collaborative and translational research projects.

Requires doctor’s degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience.

Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Radiology or the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.
Required license or certification:
Eligibility for veterinary licensure (or faculty certificate) in North Carolina.
