The Single Cell Sequencing Core at Boston University Department of Medicine seeks a research technician. The responsibilities will include single cell library preparation for RNA-seq using commercially available kits and in-house protocols, assistance to the Core Research Scientist with development and optimization of novel plate-based protocols and routine maintenance of the Core equipment and reagents inventory. The successful candidate will be a highly responsible individual with great attention to detail, capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and working independently, precisely following molecular biology protocols and processing large number of samples.

At least 2 years of previous laboratory experience and familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques are required. Previous experience with microarray, next generation sequencing or single cell RNA-seq is not required, but helpful. A BA or BS in biology, biochemistry or other life science discipline and basic computer skills are required.
