This position provides an opportunity for creative thinking and self-direction. He/she is a member of the Student Life staff reporting to the Vice President and Dean of Student Life through the Director of Greek Life & New Student Orientation and the Director of Campus Activities and Leadership Programming.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist with the planning and implementation of informal/formal recruitment for both the Interfraternity and Panhellenic Councils, including planning Fall and CentreTerm recruitment events, and advising the Rho Gamma team.
Assist with planning and implementation of officer and delegate training programs.
Work with undergraduate Council leaders to help plan and implement the annual Greek Block Party and Greek 101 programming for New Members.
Advise Greek House Managers, including the implementation of spring and fall training sessions, monthly meetings, and regularly scheduled house walk-throughs with Facilities Management.
Assist with the coordination of the annual Greek Review Awards and Assessment process for all chapters.
Co-advise Order of Omega and Gamma Sigma Alpha honoraries.
Assist with the management of the Campus Center including facilities requests and operations.
Supervise one Campus Center Student Assistant who will assist with space reservation process and Campus Center management.
Assist with the space reservation process for some Student Life managed spaces.
Plan and implement select campus events and activities.
Other Student Life Duties:
Participate in weekly Student Life staff meetings, regular individual meetings with supervisors, and the annual Student Life staff retreat.
Assist on special projects such as selection and training of the Residence Life Staff, cooperative programming with the Service & Leadership program; participate as a team member in all aspects of Student Life.
