The Associate Director of Employer Engagement and Strategic Outreach plans and directs the production of all communications within the NYU Wasserman Center in alignment with the mission of the Global Network University. This includes: the oversight of staff responsible for web development and web content, video, multiplatform social media communications, print materials, advertising, events and event materials, editorial contributions to other university publications, e-newsletters and unit assessments. Additionally, the Associate Director works closely with the Senior Director to develop employer engagement strategies and oversee day-to-day global job development and employer brand building initiatives. Creates, oversees, and analyzes unit assessments. Evaluates and applies new technology and social media tools for the marketing and delivery of career services and maintain vendor relationships in an effort to build robust online communities that engage all constituents in the Global Network University.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, marketing, communications or related field
Required Experience: 5 years' relevant professional-level experience in higher education or related field. Demonstrated experience in the use of social media in a professional context, particularly in Career Services.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Counseling and presentation skills. Ability to construct strategic plans, liaise with stakeholders and implement strategy. Independent judgment. Ability to set and adjust priorities, learn new information quickly, and work both independently and as part of a team. Interest and technical acuity to seek out, evaluate and apply new social media tools and platforms to the marketing and delivery of career services. Experience supervising staff and overseeing large scale projects. Willingness to take on other duties as assigned.
