The Enterprise Analyst-Developer joins a team of ITS staff who play an important role in student success at Massasoit Community College. The Analyst provides technology support to College departments as they assist students throughout their journey from admissions to graduation and beyond. Support may include software development, business process design, troubleshooting, training, documentation, and enterprise software installations. The Analyst seeks innovative solutions to improve College operational efficiency and improve the student experience; solutions may be purchased or developed in-house.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Participates in all phases of the software development process including analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, and supports mission-critical enterprise applications.
Work with colleagues across the College to streamline business processes and realize efficiencies, while providing user support and excellent customer service.
Creates and maintains user, technical, and operational documentation describing program sourcecode, logic, and changes.
Employs advanced reporting tools and high level data understanding to develop automated processes and reports using enterprise software.
Develops automated processes and scripts using shell scripting.
Actively participates in collaborative activities at the college and with peer institutions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Training and experience in software support, programming, and databases.
Programming experience with proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL and strong analytical skills.
Experience with database application development, including tables, packages, stored procedures, triggers, and views, preferably using Oracle.
Ability to work independently when coding and troubleshooting software.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, multi-task and work effectively with other members of the technical team(s).
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, to communicate appropriately and effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
Willing to learn and try new tools and approaches, take risks, and stay current in application software knowledge.
Knowledge and experience with Ellucian's Banner application.
Familiarity with Evisions' products, particularly Argos and FormFusion.
Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Korn, Perl, Powershell), C, Java, HTML, or Groovy.
Experience configuring and deploying Apache Tomcat applications.
Oracle dba skills for tasks related to backup and restore, security, and performance.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field.

Position Status: Non-Unit Professional, full-time state funded with benefits.
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Salary: $62,646 - $78,309 (annually), commensurate with education and experience.
Worksite: Assignments will include all Massasoit sites.
