Project Manager II will facilitate all project activities relating to science integration of outreach products for the Harte Research Institute - including developing, implementing, and tracking of budgets, tracking timelines and deliverables, and providing periodic evaluations and reports for projects that are generally medium in scope.
Assist in defining HRI's project mission and vision.
Manage project portfolios in line with business strategies and in accordance with project management standards. Conducts meetings with stakeholders to schedule and coordinate project activities.
Develop high-quality graphical imagery, video, and other multimedia products for various platforms and uses.
Manage project quality control and assurance. Establish goals for project delivery.
Perform cost estimates for quotes and project management to stay within budget.
Handle a project from start to finish with general supervision.
Apply current best practices in vendor selection, contract negotiation, accessibility, and project life cycle.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, or Communications.
Five (5) years related experience.
Additional education/experience may be considered as a substitution for the minimum qualifications to include:
High school diploma and nine (9) years related experience or
Associates degree and seven (7) years related experience or
Bachelor's degree and five years related experience or
Master's degree and three years related experience
Intermediate skills in Premier Pro, InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to present information clearly and concisely to stakeholders (including faculty, funding entities, and academic leadership).
Excellent organization and time management skills, including ability to juggle multiple tasks and respond rapidly to new events and competing priorities.
Master's Degree in related field.
Experience working in a research institute under an academic setting.
Experience in developing scientific graphics (including infographics) and publications for project deliverables, promotional use, events, and social consumption.
Strong understanding of the role that online and published content has in marketing and fundraising.
Advanced skills in design platforms including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator.
Must provide examples of work along with resume and references.
