The Production Coordinator supports both On-Campus and Distance Education Initiatives of the NU Prosthetics-Orthotics Center by producing multimedia for courses presented on site and over the internet.
Planning, filming, and editing video presentations of lectures, labs and special projects.
Training faculty, staff and students in use of NUPOC multimedia tools and software and supporting same.
Organizing, designing and loading course content onto Course Management System.
Coordinating maintenance of multimedia equipment with department and technical consultant(s).
Handling first-level IT supports issues for faculty, staff and students.
Designing room settings to achieve optimal lighting, sound and film conditions.
As Assigned other Departmental Administrative Supports.
Maintaining NUPOC Website and assisting with Social Media presence.
Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in communications and/or fine arts.
Experience creating storyboards for film and/or video.
Experience organizing multiple projects.
Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)
Proficient in various software packages, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, image editing suites, video editing and manipulation and distributed education.
Ability to script presentations for conferences and marketing purposes.
Competent still and action photographer.
Film and video production and post-production.
Excellent customer support skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Takes initiative to ensure projects are completed on a timely basis.
Able to work individually as well as on a team.
Requires minimal supervision for follow-through on tasks.
Ability to coordinate and communicate with outside vendors.
Preferred Qualifications: (Education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree in film and/or video.
Minimum one year of experience teaching or providing training to adults.
Experience working on both PC and Macintosh computers.
Professional competency in Avid Express, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Acrobat Professional and Photoshop, Camtasia, Zoom, PANOPTO.
Professional competency in Social Media engagement.
