UK HealthCare Information Technology has posted an Enterprise Data Specialist Lead role. This role is a critical role in the transformational change at UK Healthcare to enable analytics and business intelligence to function as core infrastructure in support of the strategy: data as a strategic asset.
The Enterprise Data Specialist Lead participates as a resource in the analytics structure and data warehousing functions of the University of Kentucky Healthcare. This role serves as the subject matter expert in data analysis, data modeling, data exploration and data visualization and in the sources, business rules, and availability of data for analysis. They will also keep abreast of the rapidly changing industry requirements and facilitates the maturation of UK Healthcare in the use of data.
The Data Specialist Lead communicates with Data Governance in support of enterprise data analytics needs and is responsible for maintenance and enhancement of analytical data products, and providing analytical application guidance and data analysis to business analysts and end users. UK HealthCare is a comprehensive healthcare system consisting of the medical, nursing, health sciences, public health, dental and pharmacy patient care activities of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, and in several off-site locations.

Qualified candidates must have demonstrated experience in decision support, data analysis methodologies such as statistical analysis and/or data modeling and data exploration and visualization.
This individual must have knowledge of project management methodologies and practices as well as strong leadership and financial management skills. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Analytics, Business Intelligence and Reporting tools such as Tableau, Qlik, SSRS, etc. as well as an understanding of analysis of structured and unstructured data and of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL.
Must be a customer focused, determined leader who possesses strong facilitation, presentation, conflict management, problem solving and communications skills.

Master's degree and at least six full years of employment experience in Information Technology data management.
