Administrative Assistant, $27,527 per year, UofSC Aiken – Departments of Biology & Geology; Chemistry & Physics
The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support for the Departments of Biology/Geology and Chemistry/Physics. This individual in this position is responsible for the efficient operation of the office and for performing a variety of functions supporting faculty of both departments. These functions include (but are not limited to) tracking departmental budgets using university financial systems; processing personnel documents and faculty travel requests; maintaining departmental files and databases; processing mail and ordering supplies; processing requisitions and payment requests; and supervise student office assistants. The successful candidate will also help develop departmental communications and maintain electronic media. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or a high school diploma and four years of related experience; or equivalency. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software and be able to work with minimal supervision. Proficiency in web applications, Adobe Creative Suite, and University software is preferred.
