Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Specialist for the Rutgers Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research. The Research Specialist assists or leads in the design of experiments (lab/field) and apply unique expertise in the specific area of lighting or related fields.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Designs lighting installations and develop specifications to apply lighting research principles to built environments.
Conduct literature search and synthesize information
Apply knowledge of field specific theories to design sound experiments and lighting installations.
Exercises creativity regarding adaptations or modifications to standard design, research and laboratory methods.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience .
A minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Detail-oriented, adaptable, and innovative
Prior success in collaborating on complex projects with multiple stakeholders
Possesses strong skills in written and verbal communication
Must be flexible and efficient in a fast-paced academic environment
Master's degree in lighting preferred and two (2) years related experience.
