Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Student Assistant for the Department of Neuroscience and Cell Biology at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Under direction, the Student Assistant performs and assists with laboratory procedures and analyses in support of specialized research activities of the laboratory. Research focuses on how different genotypes are susceptible to repeated mild traumatic brain injury using mouse models. Focus is on cellular, molecular and behavioral outcomes. Teach surgical and behavior techniques to research assistants. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Assist lab workers as required.
Organize lab resources and assist in the set up and conducting of experiments as required.
Handle additional related responsibilities as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Enrolled in graduate/undergraduate studies, or completion of graduate/undergraduate studies.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Laboratory experience in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry and animal handling.
