The Department of Economics at North Central College seeks an adjunct instructor to teach one online evening course of Principles of Microeconomics in our Fall 2020 term.
This course will be taught Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:10 PM (Central), with a cap of 30 students. We will require that the course be run synchronously; it is not the typical asynchronous online course.
Candidates possessing a doctorate in Economics or a related field are preferred, but those with a Master’s degree in Economics or a related field and experience teaching college-level courses will be considered.
This course is an introduction to microeconomic theory with heavy emphasis on application of the supply and demand model and its individual and social welfare implications, the behavior of firms and market structure, in addition to other applied microeconomics topics.
