The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, known as one of the pioneers in personalized cancer medicine, is an international leader in research and cancer treatment. OHSUs Knight Cancer Institutes Center for Hematologic Malignancies is one of eight founding members of the CAR T Consortium. A large data base collection tool has been generated to collect data from 400 participants who undergo CAR-T cell therapy administered as standard of care. The centers in the Consortium have agreed to pool all data to generate a detailed real-world experience. These centers administer both of the commercially available CAR-T therapies in the adult population. The purpose of this study is evaluate the clinical experience with these two therapies (axi-cel and tisa-cel) in the commercial setting for the treatment of relapsed or refractory aggressive large B-cell lymphoma.
The objectives are to evaluate the efficacy of commercial CAR-T therapies at regular intervals (e.g., three, six, nine, and twelve months), to evaluate the safety of commercial CAR-T therapies, to identify clinicopathologic and treatment features significantly associated with efficacy and toxicity, and to describe the utilization of health care resources and patterns of use for subjects who have undergone CAR-T therapy.
Under direct supervision, the incumbent in this temporary position will extract date from the EMR per the study requirements on the approximately 30 - 40 patients included in this study to date and enter the data into a database.
Enrolled in,on vacation from, or otherwise registered in anundergraduate program at minimum of 6 credit hours.
Familiarity with the medical field and clinical research.
Experience gathering research information in a lab or academic setting.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks at one time.
Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills: both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team while being collaborative in resolving problems.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Access, Word, and PowerPoint) on Window OS.
Ability to use tact and diplomacy to maintain effective working relationships.
