The Office of Health Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (HEDI) is responsible for reporting on diversity and inclusion for UC Davis Health, including all employees (faculty, academic personnel, staff and residents), trainees, and students and all units or programs. This is a full-time appointment that will report directly to the Senior Director of Institutional Culture/Climate & Community Engagement.

Responsibilities The Program Coordinator for the Office for Health, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (HEDI), will be responsible for providing support for the Director of the Prep Medico and Pipeline Program. Involves designing, conducting, promoting, evaluating and supporting health professions education's Prep Medico programs in compliance with organizational objectives. Supports undergraduate learners in areas such as curriculum, teaching and learning activities virtually and in person class settings, scheduling clinical rotations, core competencies, assessment and evaluations. Coordinates all activities associated with ongoing administration of health professions education programs. This position will report directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, with daily direction from the Director of Prep Medico and will interface with staff from the Office of Student and Resident Diversity, the Center for Reducing Health Disparities, UC Davis student affairs units and the executive leadership for TPMG and UC Davis.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the area of equity, diversity and inclusion. (e.g. diversity training experience, pipeline programs experience preferred at the college level or higher)
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact tactfully and diplomatically with a diverse group of people including faculty, staff and students; respond to questions and concerns; and comprehend the specialized needs of students from diverse cultural, racial/ethnic and disadvantaged backgrounds.
Demonstrated experience with event planning, coordination and implementation. (i.e. experience in continuing education).
Excellent analytical and demonstrated attention to detail.
Ability and/or experience with extremely complex faculty calendars/schedules - requires extremely well organized and detail-oriented precision.
Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships.
Excellent problem-solving and investigative, data analysis, and reporting skills. Ability to generate reports, editing and proof-reading, correcting errors for submission of accurate and detailed reports.
Excellent leadership, advising abilities and organization skills.
Demonstrated intermediate to advanced computer skills in utilizing MS Office Suite and the internet.
Demonstrated experience with social media and website design.
Demonstration of cultural competency training.
Strong supervisory and management experience to oversee a team of over 50 members, including undergraduate students, health professions and graduate students effectively.
Bilingual in Spanish (reading, writing and verbal).
Special Requirements This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
