Civil and Environmental Engineering seeks one applicant to teach CEE 365 in the Fall term of 2020 (August 31 – December 31, 2020). The day and time of class is to be determined. The position will be 0.40 FTE (40% effort) and requires the lecturer be responsible for teaching students the topic of Environmental Engineering Principles. The course will be taught as a hybrid method – lectures will be administered on-line, with voluntary weekly in-person group sessions (maximum of 22 students) to discuss lecture material and course problems. Sessions could be three days a week, giving all students an opportunity to attend one session per week.
A master's degree, or equivalent education and experience, in Environmental Engineering is required. PhD in Environmental Engineering preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with previous teaching experience and knowledge of the university policies and procedures.
The terms and conditions of employment for this position are subject to the provisions of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the University of Michigan and the Lecturer’s Employee Organization.
