Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Flow Cytometry Operator position available to join the exciting Department of Immunology and participate in cutting edge research on the immune system and immunologically-related diseases, using advanced cell-sorting technology. The Operator will participate in the operation, maintenance and quality control of several cell analyzers and sorters (incl. a MoFlo Astrios, BD Aria, BD-LSRII and BD-Symphony). He/she will perform cell sorting and flow analyses in collaboration with biomedical investigators at HMS. Will assist the facility manager in following facility guidelines and protocols, and in administrative duties such as ordering materials, setting of booking calendars, invoicing, and other duties required for the operation and maintenance of the facility.
This is a one-year term position from date of hire, contingent upon funding and work performance.

Two or more years of related research experience required (relevant coursework may count towards experience). Relevant coursework may count towards work experience.
Flow Cytometry preferred.BS or BA in life sciences preferred. Must have have good communication skills and be well versed with use of computers and software. Training and experience on the cell sorters listed above would be a plus.
