Gateway Community and Technical College invites applications for a part-time Carpentry Instructor. The Carpentry Instructor will teach basic commercial carpentry skills to a group of employees for a local employer. The main purpose is to give them the skills to repair and maintain commercial buildings as well as troubleshooting maintenance issues.
Teach Basic Commercial Carpentry including:
Practice/observe safety practices/techniques
Identify hand tools
Demonstrate the use of hand tools
Identification of construction materials
Window and door maintenance
Drywall repair, Painting
Acoustical carpentry (drop ceiling)
Associate's Degree in Carpentry or related field,
Credential or Industry Certification
2 years of full-time employment in the carpentry field
