JOBSUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the Administrator - Center for HealthcareImprovement and Patient Simulation (CHIPS), this position is responsible for ensuringall financial transactions related to UTHSC CHIPS are properly processed andare in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
Assesses and processes all payroll and financial transactions, i.e., accounts receivables, account payables, travel authorizations, conference registrations, and reimbursements.
Ensures financial transactions are aligned and charged to appropriate accounts.
Assists senior level management with budget development, including budget probables and forecasts.
Reconciles ledgers for accounts; researches, evaluates, and amends errors, as necessary.
Counsels and assists internal and external contacts.
Establishes budget proposals and invoices rendered by CHIPS.
Prepares and forwards standard accounts payable and receivable contracts, memorandums of understanding, disclosure agreements, and other agreements for approval in the Contract Management System.
Gathers receipts from Heartcode courses and makes deposits.
Assists with progress reports for sponsored projects and with the development of budgets for grant proposals.
Creates purchase requisitions and supply non-compete justifications, if necessary.
Orders all consumables and simulation equipment and maintains inventory records and assets.
Assists with the annual inventory verification process.
