The School of Nursing at DePaul Universityseeks two tenure-track assistant professors to begin September 2020. Competitive candidates will have a Ph.D. or DNP in Nursing, commitment to nursing education, a strong potential for research, and dedication to service. The specific area of research interest is open, although teaching interests in Medical Surgical and Intensive Care, Maternal Child Health, Community Health, Mental Health and Community Engagement, Research, Theory and Biostatistics are desired. The successful candidate is expected to teach graduate courses, develop a productive research program and contribute to a dynamic and growing School of Nursing.
DePaul's School of Nursing offers the RN-MS (online), MENP, DNP, and Nurse Practitioner tracks and certificates. Nursing Programs are focused on community engagement, service learning in vulnerable communities, social justice and excellent safe quality nursing care. Faculty and students are engaged in Community Based Service Learning experiences in over 60 community sites in the Chicago area. Students are also in clinical sites at over 20 health care institutions.
DePaul University is the nation’s largest Catholic university with an enrollment of more than 22,000 students. It has over 200 undergraduate and graduate programs. The College of Science and Health is the third largest college at DePaul, enrolling over 3,000 students. In addition to Nursing, the college includes programs in mathematics, psychology, physics and astrophysics, environmental science and studies, chemistry and biochemistry, biology, neuroscience, health sciences and is developing programs in occupational therapy and speech/language pathology.
