Provides support for all aspects of the Undergraduate Clerkship program. This includes planning and coordinating the four-week clerkship, including the orientation and evaluation process for all Clerkship participants, assuring the credentialing, facilities, rotations, evaluations, and required documentation are completed and confirmations are issued; maintains Undergraduate Clerkship program records, contact information for each preceptor and student evaluations (New Innovations); completes program reports in accordance with program requirements and standards, tracks student progress through the program for completion of requirements; coordinates information required for ongoing program certification;This position is located in Flint, MI; may include some evenings and weekends as well as travel to East Lansing and other CHM Campuses.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Health Education or a related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience and knowledge of curriculum in the area of employment; word processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working in an academic or medical office setting; ability to professionally articulate verbal and written communications; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential and time urgent issues; demonstrated organizational skills, with the ability to organize and prioritize work and tasks efficiently; experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Access);familiarity with course management software, and must be a self-starter; ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously. Bachelor’s degree and/or experience in medical education or residency.
