INSTRUCTIONALTECHNOLOGIST , Sloan School of Management , to support the Sloan community's use of its learning management systems and the associated educational technology ecosystem. This will include direct planning, design, and delivery of training that supports teaching and learning activities. Will work with service partners across MIT to improve the delivery of services to the Sloan community and participate in internal academic technology projects; respond to faculty requests for assistance; plan and create curricula and train faculty and other teaching staff on use of available technologies through programs, workshops, and courses for face-to-face, online, and blended learning environments; actively engage faculty in identifying new projects and opportunities; provide documentation/documentation resources for all new technologies; advocate for service improvements; and solicit requests for service, gather feedback, and develop solutions.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : high school diploma or its equivalent; three years' related experience; experience developing and leading training for Canvas LMS and other key platforms that support learning, providing technical support in an educational environment, and managing LTI/API integrations within a learning management system; ability to effectively manage the course lifecycle in Canvas, including consulting with faculty/staff/TAs regarding their instructional technology goals for a portfolio of courses each term; knowledge of and experience with the practical application of instructional design methodologies and best practices, adult learning principles, and instructor-led, computer-based, and web-deployed training programs; strong technical skills using or ability to learn the core technologies used at Sloan (e.g., Canvas, Panopto, ServiceNow, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Zoom conferencing, Crestron control systems, and WebEx collaboration tools); and facility with Macintosh and PC platforms.
