The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science in the McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts at Duquesne University invites applications for a non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor position in mathematics, to span the 2020-2021 academic year, beginning fall 2020. The successful candidate will teach 12 credits per semester, which is expected to consist of three Calculus courses at the 100-200 level (four credits each) and will join 19 other full-time departmental faculty. Additionally, the candidate will have opportunities to engage in undergraduate research and mentorship.
The department offers undergraduate majors in mathematics, applied mathematics, data science, computer science, and cybersecurity studies, as well as a multidisciplinary Master's program in computational mathematics and statistics and a Master's degree in computer science.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in mathematics
Must have a strong commitment to undergraduate education.
