The EMR Program and Communications Assistant (Staff Assistant III) will support Committee-related programming and events and provide administrative support for the Chair, Administrative and Program Director (AD), and EMR Faculty Committee.
Program-related activities will include supporting five university-wide Working Groups, research grant and thesis prize competitions, and purchases. Communications responsibilities include producing print and online versions of the
3+ years of experience. Education may count towards experience
Background in communicating effectively with diverse audiences.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team, as well as to independently manage multiple projects at once.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to interact professionally and comfortably with diverse faculty, colleagues, students, guests, program partners, donors, and external vendors.
Strong attention to detail and comfort in a fast-paced environment.
Interest in specifically supporting programming in Ethnic and Indigenous Studies strongly preferred.
Familiarity with Zoom,Facebook, Instagram, MS Teams, Mail Chimp, and InDesign a plus.
Must be able to perform duties remotely.
