Cleans and sanitizes restroom facilities, shower areas, walls, partitions, windows, and door glass. Performs floor care, including all phases of hard floor care, carpet care including vacuuming and edging, and spot cleaning. Cleans lounges, stairwells, offices, and public areas. Performs snow removal, furniture moving, and other jobs requiring medium to heavy lifting during several times of the year.
General knowledge at the high school level.
Excellent attendance record. Demonstrated proficiency in work performance. Ability to work with minimal supervision on routine duties, and also cooperatively as part of a team concept. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information.
Working Conditions / Demands
Physical requirements of this position include ability to: move a wide variety of items from one place to another on a frequent basis, including furniture, and/or up and down stairs; walk or stand for long periods of time in performing job assignments; bend, kneel, climb ladders, and climb stairs in order to clean surfaces that are on different elevations and uneven surfaces; and see well enough to perform job assignments effectively.
Must be able to exert 25 pounds of force frequently and 25-50 pounds of force, occasionally.
