Deliver comprehensive academic advising to new, current, and returning students including providing guidance and assistance with course registration, academic planning, and academic questions/concerns as well as resources and referrals to promote academic success.
Serve as the primary advisor for assigned students within Century Academic Pathways.
Provide proactive advising and case management to support retention of students identified as needing support through early alert process and/or predictive analytics.
Connect and refer students to college-wide academic and support services.
Participate in college-wide enrollment, retention, and student success initiatives such as new student orientation, readmission, and suspension appeals.
Work effectively with Student Affairs offices and academic departments to meet the goals and objectives of the office, division, and institution.
Communicate with Century College faculty and staff, participate in program and event development and serve on college-wide committees.
Assist with program evaluation and complete other assignments as directed.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of college student development and various learning styles.
Ability to work with a diverse population of students, staff and faculty.
Experience working collaboratively as part of a team.
Possess presentation skills to effectively promote and represent the college.
Personal computing/technology skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office software; experience with and comfort utilizing multiple types of technology to provide advising services.
Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education or related field.
Previous experience in academic or financial aid advising.
Previous experience in a community college setting.
Strong commitment to student success and retention.
