University of the Sciences (USciences) has an immediate need for a qualified candidate for the position of Postdoctoral Computational Chemistry Research Fellow. The position is located within the West Center for Computational Chemistry & Drug Design in the group of Drs. Liu and Pophristic at USciences. The fellow will develop and utilize computational approaches to aid the design and synthesis of functional foldamers. The research will be carried out in close collaboration with experimentalists in the field.
This is a two year grant funded position.
This is the perfect opportunity to join a vibrant computational chemistry research center, comprising six faculty and their research groups, working synergistically on a number of exciting topics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
PhD in Computational Chemistry or related field
Working knowledge of quantum chemistry, molecular mechanics concepts and techniques
Experience in molecular dynamics simulations and/or quantum mechanics calculations is required
Experience with software packages AMBER, NAMD, GAUSSIAN is preferred
Computer programming/scripting skills is a plus
Experience and knowledge of statistical analysis is a plus
The finalist will be required to successfully pass a background check.
