Chief, Telehealth Clinical Resource Hub, San Francisco Health Care System
The San Francisco VA Health Care System (SFVAHCS), in conjunction with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking applications for the position of Chief, Telehealth Clinical Resource Hub for VISN 21. The selected leader will be full time at the SFVAHCS with a joint academic appointment at UCSF. The SFVAHCS VISN Clinical Resource Hub program is a VA-funded program that resides within SFVAHCS and provides routine and urgent telehealth care to Palo Alto, Northern California, Fresno, Reno, Las Vegas and Pacific Islands systems, including their Community Based Outpatient Centers. The Clinical Resource Hub Chief will be a member of the Medicine Service. The SFVAHCS program is one of three UCSF Divisions of General Internal Medicine, located at UCSF Mt. Zion, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, and the SFVAHCS. The Clinical Resource Hub is an integrated service and its Chief will oversee practitioners within SFVAHCS, which may include General Internal Medicine, Primary Care, Mental Health, Specialty Care, Geriatrics, Rehab, Nursing and Social Work. In addition to serving a major leadership role within the SFVAHCS, the Clinical Resource Hub Chief works collaboratively to support research and education across all sites. The ideal candidate will be suitable for UCSF academic appointment at the level of associate or full professor in the In Residence, Clinical X, or HS Clinical series, as evidenced by a strong track record of scholarship, teaching and clinical excellence. This individual will report academically to the Chief, Medical Service SFVAHCS and operationally to the Deputy Chief of Staff, SFVAHCS. Qualified applicants will have an MD, current medical license, and be board-certified in Internal Medicine. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strong leadership skills, program development experience, and success in mentorship.
