The University of Tennessee Health Science in Memphis is seeking a highly motivated individual with well-document expertise in population health and health care delivery research to join a growing and dynamic team or faculty in the College of Medicine who enjoys conducting innovative research devoted to health systems improvement for vulnerable populations. The position requires strong interest and an established research track record in one or more of the following focus areas: Health Services Research, Health Care Delivery Innovations (e.g. Patient-Centered Medical Homes (PCMI I]. Care Transitions). Comparative Effectiveness, Health intonation Technology, and Improving Care for Chronic Disease.
We are particularly interested in candidates with research focused on improving ambulatory health care delivery systems for people with chronic conditions.
Our organizational culture is highly collaborative, emphasizing multidisciplinary approaches to improving health.
One full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position is available at the assistant, associate, or full professor level with a tenure-track option. Departmental home(s) for candidates will be in Medicine with opportunity for adjunct appointments in Preventive Medicine, Family Medicine, Nursing, or Pharmacy, depending on the preference of candidates.
Successful candidates will hold an M.D. with an additional M.P.H. Ph.D., or equivalent degrees, demonstrated scientific expertise and track record, an ability to acquire sustained external, investigator-initiated funding. significant grant writing and program evaluation experience, a commitment to excellence in teaching, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
We are especially interested in candidates who will collaborate with other faculty, community organizations, and government agencies to develop and test interventions to improve health systems serving vulnerable populations.
