Thelaboratory of Adebowale Adebiyi at the University of Tennessee Health ScienceCenter is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a postdoctoral fellowposition with a start date of December 1, 2019.
Thecandidate will be involved in research projects that use rodent and preclinicalpig models to investigate the function and regulation of G-protein-coupledreceptors and ion channels in cardiovascular and kidney disease. The candidateshould have hands-on experience in ex vivo and in vivo cardiovascular and renalmethods and be willing to learn and develop new experimental approaches.Expertise with survival surgery techniques is required.
Usefulskills include confocal microscopy, immunohistochemistry, blood vessel myography,and experience with transgenic rodent models. Successful candidates must alsohave excellent organizational and communication skills and will manageprojects, perform experiments, analyze data, publish papers, train students, andassist with the preparation and submission of grants.
