UK Healthcare is seeking a Senior Enterprise Coding Director. This position will provide oversight for the strategic and operational direction of hospital, ambulatory and provider coding services for UKHC. Coding is a critical component of an accurate revenue cycle operation, generating on average per month approximately $70 million in professional revenue and over $560 million in technical/facility revenue.
In addition to managing the budget and staff for UKHC coding operations, the position will provide a pivotal role in the Epic build, ensuring a collaborative, integrated, and strategically aligned systems implementation for revenue cycle coding functions. The successful candidate will collaborate with healthcare leadership and serve as a thought leader for coding operations within the context of environmental shifts such as rapid consolidation of health systems and physician groups, increased payor complexity, new pricing algorithms, the rise of high deductible health plans, and increased patient financial responsibility.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in enhancing physician documentation to comply with regulatory needs; experience in professional coding and reimbursements; experience working with large and complex processes; have the ability to lead and facilitate projects, taking into account divergent demands while managing scope and timelines; demonstrates strong analytical and qualitative research experience; have an excellent medical terminology background; be well organized; exceptional communication skills (written & verbal); enjoy working independently as well as closely with their co-workers in a supportive team environment; outstanding computer skills (to include Microsoft Office); above average customer service skills; analytical skills and knowledge; strong ability to engage and motivate others; active listening skills; and understanding of budget/finance principles.

Required Related Experience:
Required License/Registration/Certification :
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or RHIA
RHIA/RHIT highly preferred; management experience related to coding and physician billing.
