The Department of Family Medicine is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be responsible for patient registration at the Family Medicine Center. A thorough knowledge of medical registration, scheduling, and managed care authorization processes is desirable. Experience with automated scheduling is highly desirable. Experience in a medical setting with payment collection and posting with attention to detail is preferred. The candidate of choice has to demonstrate the ability to handle a high volume of patient traffic and phone calls and be able to communicate effectively with patients. Hours of operation for this position will be primarily 8-5 Monday through Friday, with rotational hours covering evening clinics on Monday and Thursday.
