Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Project Coordinator II for Department Physics & Astronomy. The Research Project Coordinator II works under direct supervision, with specific instructions on routine or semi-routine work.This position performs the micro-assembly and testing of the modules and to manage day-to-day operations at the Rutgers Advanced Detector Facility.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Performs wire bond encapsulation.
Performs wire bonding of the OT modules, collects, sort processes, samples, and data: will present results to management.
Performs preliminary analysis and analyzes data with the Principal Investigator (PI) weekly.
Maintains documentation and makes decisions following standard practices and procedures:
Trains and assists students in laboratory-specific techniques.
Works with the Tracker Construction Database and performs QC Test.
Maintains area and calibrate equipment and supplies.
Collects, sorts, processes samples, perform analysis and presents the results to peers and supervisory management.
Uses and maintains highly specialized equipment, will maintain and keep the workplace and laboratory organized, clean, and safe by following established procedures.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering field or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience .
A minimum of two (2) years research experience.
A minimum of two (2) years' experience in micro-electronic packaging (wire bonding, encapsulation, micro-fabrication).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Sound understanding of applications of the theoretical discipline and a greater depth of knowledge in the discipline, usually through on-the-job training.
This is a grant funded position contingent upon the availability of funds to support the position.
