Master's degree in curriculum and instruction, instructional leadership, special education, bilingual education, or a related field. Currently certified as a Texas teacher. Principal certification and T-TESS appraiser training preferred. One year of experience in a school setting required. Three years preferred. Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Full Release Mentor supports 4+1 TEACH resident teachers as they pursue standard Texas teacher certification.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Supports 4+1 TEACH resident teachers as they pursue standard Texas teacher certification. Provides regular support for resident teachers including campus visits, instructional coaching, and classroom observations. Provides regular feedback and ongoing support for 4+1 TEACH residents during their first three years as a teacher of record. Performs other related duties as assigned.
