The Dining Systems Support Specialist acts as a liaison between Campus Dining Services, Application Administration, and campus IT relating to CBORD Food Service Suite modules and related systems, NetNutrition, BarTender, GrubHub and Simphony. Assists in maintenance of the CBORD recipe database and ensures that product and recipe information in the CBORD database is up to date. This includes price changes, pack size changes, and product specification. Maintains master and cycle menus in CBORD systems for accurate forecasting/purchasing. Assists with system access audits and compliance checks. Modifies CBORD setups to accommodate new dining concepts. Prepares routine reports and responds to requests for custom reports and data. Maintains and issues requisitions and runs billing files. Finalizes and runs end of month inventory reports. Configures and maintains systems hardware for BarTender. Assists in the process of importing files into BarTender. Audits information between FSS, Simphony and GrubHub to ensure accuracy. Produces pricing analysis, product movement, and other retail sales reports. Manages property level price changes and property level reporting in Simphony and GrubHub.
Participates in evaluating new technologies for Campus Dining Services; researches and recommends new CBORD modules. Collaborates with technical and operational staff in the implementation of new systems and application upgrades; conducts tests on new software and upgrades of existing software to ensure it best meets the needs of Campus Dining Services. Develops Campus Dining Services specific system training materials, quick guides and operational documentation for CBORD and Simphony systems.
Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field and two years of experience with food service menu management software such as CBORD.
Combinations of education and related experience may be considered.
ServSafe and HACCP certified within 60 days from date of hire, and ability to maintain certification.
Experience with the implementation of new technology solutions in a food service environment. Proficiency in common Microsoft Office software. Excellent communication skills, including ability to exchange information with a wide diversity of individuals. Strong interpersonal skills. Aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail. Professional and pleasant phone manner. Skilled in working within a collaborative, team environment with emphasis on customer service. Ability to work on several projects simultaneously, balance priorities, meet deadlines and make decisions independently within defined policies and procedures. Experience and knowledge of food service trends and budget management. Strong organizational and logistical skills.
Two to five years of experience in a large-scale commercial food service operation or campus onecard administration. Working knowledge of CBORD applications. Experience in developing, delivering, and evaluating training and education programs. College/university food service experience.
