Reporting to the Vice President and Dean of Admissions, this position will plan and direct the personnel and operations functions of the Admissions Office including the design, implementation and evaluation of marketing and recruitment programs.
* Direct the development, implementation and management of the admissions recruitment and regional marketing programs. * Supervise daily operations of 12 staff members. * Oversee operations budget maintenance. * Oversee processing of all applications, including management of CRM system (Slate). * Direct the design, production and dissemination of admission publications. * Oversee integration of web based/social media strategies with overall communications plan. * Oversee the integration of alumni activities with overall recruitment plans and objectives. * Participate in and oversee the training of staff. * Set style and tone for office interaction. * Participate in traditional tasks of admissions, including interviews, travel, events, appplicatino review, etc. * Direct compilation of management data and statistics for preparation of reports, projections and analyze same. * Represent the division on several campus committees. * Work collaboratively with campus constituencies (coaches, faculty, staff) to achieve enrollment objectives. * Initiate professional development activities. * Other duties as assigned by the VP and Dean.
Bachelor's degree required, master's preferred. A minimum of 7 years Admissions experience required, with Higher Education Admissions preferred. Several years experience managing and directing a professional staff. Demonstrated ability to lead in a team environment, with excellent data analysis and interpretation skills. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and respond to concerns of diverse student groups. Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and problem solving skills required. Experience in the successful and strategic use of marketing to prospective students, families, and other constituents. Knowledge and use of Slate preferred.
This is a full-time, 12-month, benefits-eligible administrative (exempt) position. Normal hours of work are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the academic year and a possible shorten workweek during the scheduled summer hours time period. Additional hours may be required on occasion.
