This position provides supervision, management and assessment for both the Eden Prairie Campus (EPC) and Brooklyn Park Campus (BPC) Academic Support Programs to include the Math and Writing Centers, Learning Resource Center, Disability Services, tutor.com, Supplemental Instruction, and assists with College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) accreditation and certification training, to ensure efficient and effective operations, program goals, work plans, and federal compliance are met. This position is responsible to provide services to students that ultimately result in retention and student completion.
NOTE: This position is open to current employees of Hennepin Technical College only.
Two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience
Two (2) years of relevant disability services and/or tutoring services experience
Experience in following federal and state legislation and regulations
Evidence of strong and demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion
Experience working with diverse populations, perspectives and abilities
Interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain working relationships with students, parents, staff, faculty and administrators
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Independent and strong ability to effectively and creatively solve complex problems
Program assessment skills
Training and experience on issues of poverty, inequity, disability and the impact on education
