The Coordinator will work with the University MavPASS Faculty Liaison to develop the University's supplemental instruction program to support challenging courses in each academic college. The position will coordinate scheduling and logistics for MavPASS sessions, assist in hiring, training and supervising student leaders, and assist in program assessment and promotion activities.
Master's degree in any discipline (conferred on an official transcript at the time of application).
Minimum of two (2) years demonstrated excellence in teaching at secondary or post-secondary level.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a learning management system (e.g. D2L Brightspace).
Demonstrated ability to interpret and disseminate a wide range of information in written, oral, and electronic formats.
Demonstrated ability to work with and lead teams and present information effectively.
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication skills and positive attitude.
Demonstrated ability to organize time and tasks and prioritize projects.
Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of constituents (e.g. faculty, staff, administrators, students).
Evidence of initiative, flexibility, and effectiveness at solving problems.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
Master's degree in education, communication, counselling & student personnel, or related disciplines.
Experience working in a university environment.
Experience working in or with a student success program (e.g. Honors, OASIS, TRIO, PSEO, Learning Communities, Center for Academic Success, other tutoring center, etc.).
Minimum of one (1) year of experience supervising or mentoring undergraduates.
Experience with program development and assessment.
Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.
