Duties The School of Nursing seeks RNs and other health professionals who hold degrees at the masters level for part-time teaching positions in the classroom and/or at clinical practice sites to teach at both the pre-licensure and graduate levels. The primary responsibility is teaching, with an expectation for collaboration with other faculty in courses and programs in which the Teaching Specialist is involved. Most positions are part-time, single semester appointments. Particularly seeking (but not limited to) skills/certifications involving teaching in a lab setting, Pediatrics, Psych/Mental Health, Adult Health, Maternal/Child Health.
Required: Current MN RN license and Masters in Nursing or related field if teaching clinical content, appropriate graduate degree and certification or registration for non-clinical content (health services research, biostatistics, public health, or other health related field). Knowledge in statistics and program evaluation. **Successful completion of both a Big Ten and a DHS background check is required for this position Preferred: Teaching experience and certification in clinical specialty area.
