JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOBFUNCTIONS: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, the SeniorResearch Specialist assists withexperimental modeling of cancer in cellular, engineered, and xenograft models.
Conducts tissue culture-based experiments, molecular and cell biology assays, and animal studies.
Designs, modifies, and implements research procedures/experiments.
Performs experiments, studies, and investigations.
Collects, records, compiles, processes, analyzes, and interprets data.
Conducts literature reviews.
Prepares internal reports and external publications for peer review.
Attends meetings and presents research data.
Orders and maintains inventory, lab supplies, and reagents.
Constructs grant proposals and assists with securing funding.
Coordinates research logistics.
Trains lab personnel/students on experimental procedures related to tissue culture-based experiments, molecular and cell biology- based assays, and animal studies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
