Job Summary/EssentialJob Functions: Under the directionof the Principal Investigator (PI), this position will perform specializedresearch tasks/duties focused on treating and researching glaucoma associatedretina damage and nicotine addiction through the usage of rodent models.
Independently analyzes microscopic images of retina and optic nerve from rodents.
Trains/designs various deep learning models to classify cell types, grade neuronal degradation, and measure features identifiable on images.
Analyzes RNAseq data.
Collaborates with other researchers in designing, testing, and constructing small instruments used for rodent behavior tests.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
