The Kentucky Children’s Hospital DanceBlue Pediatric Hematology Oncology Clinic is seeking an individual to assist with patient registration and coordination of care. The responsibilities of the position include coordinating incoming and outgoing patient referrals, coordinate scheduling of multidisciplinary clinic appointments, scheduling tests and procedures including but not limited to radiology scans, echocardiograms, nuclear medicine tests, cross cover insurance authorization, registration, and reviewing medical records and abstracting data. The person in this position will need to be adept in working with a multidisciplinary team and have strong communication skills. Experience with medical terminology, pre-authorization, scheduling, and customer service in a healthcare environment preferred.
Medical terminology, CPT Coding, ICD 10, Microsoft word, outlook, electronic health record. Experience in a health care clinical setting. Experience with coordination of multiple appointments including radiology, procedures, internal and external referrals, and follow up appointments. Must have medical terminology, data abstraction from medical records. Insurance and pre-authorization requirements.

CMA or other health care degree plus six or more years in healthcare setting preferred. Experience with medical terminology, pre-authorization, scheduling, and customer service in a healthcare environment preferred.
