The S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University is seeking an individual to teach PRL 215 Advanced PR Writing for a Digital World on Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00-6:20pm in the Fall 2020 semester (3 credits).
Course Description: This course will explore emerging social media technologies and study their application in contemporary PR practice and writing. Technologies covered in this course include: blogs, microblogs, website content and development, collaboration tools, viral video, online media centers, online press release, and other emerging media technologies. Students will learn how to use and develop content for online PR tools and how to leverage technology platforms to monitor conversations on the internet, engage online communities, identify influencers, and establish thought leadership.
