1) The Director of Development and Innovation will work closely with the Centerâ™s Director, Executive Director, and other senior staff in leading the administration of programs and development of strategic partnerships with community-based organizations, educational institutions, and local government departments, as well as the engagement with these key stakeholders.
2) The role will help strengthen the capacity of and services for communities.
3) Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Programs and Innovation will assist in the management of Center for Asian Health Equity (CAHE) /Asian Health Coalition (AHC) staff, programs, internal processes, and engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.
4) The successful candidate will possess the skills, creativity, and leadership to establish robust partnerships, implement influential programs, and optimize the passion and creativity of each member of our diverse team.
5) Manage a portfolio of new and existing programs and initiatives including the CDC funded programs/ILcoloncares.org, Project ECHO and ACCSIS-Chicago collaborations
6) Serve as a local, multi-state and national liaison to the Center leadership and staff who serve the community through existing technology and any new initiatives focused on science, technology, research and collaboration.
7) Work with application teams to design and implement security/access strategy, and user access profiles.
8) Include middle-ware integration (single-sign on solutions, web services, and hosting services, integration with data sources.)
9) Play a key role in technical architecture design of Center Technology systems to support functional and application requirements, provide for expansion given budgetary constraints, and availability of data and skilled resources.
10) Facilitate and ensure common understanding across IT stakeholders of the technology, platform requirements and overall technical architecture during design and expansion activities.
11) Manage a team to implement various levels of prevention strategies.
12) Provide outreach and capacity building efforts focusing on culturally informed interventions through community engagement and technical assistance.
13) Partner with community-based organizations and other healthcare providers, as well as higher level institutions to create, maintain and direct evidence-based healthcare outreach and programming for diverse immigrant communities.
14) Conduct research, data collection, needs assessments, and analyses to support program planning.
15) Responsible for identifying and building relationships with high-impact agencies and organizations in the community.
16) Assist in the development of grant proposals and manages the administration of grants awarded to CAHE.
17) Communicate effectively to partners at state agencies, local health departments, funders, and key community leaders.
18) Build internal relationships across the University with other departments to learn from, and collaborate with, other researchers interested in conducting community-based work focused on Asian populations.
19) Liaises with community partners, hospital partners and other professional healthcare organizations, locally, statewide, and nationally.
20) Participate in seeking external financial resources to support initiatives and community projects that cannot be funded from the ongoing budget of the Center.
