The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM) is seeking clinical physicians for intermittent faculty teaching positions at the Athens, Dublin or Cleveland campus. For the purposes of these positions, primary care is defined as family medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics, and pediatrics. Specialty medicine includes OB-GYN, surgery, endocrinology, cardiology and others. The successful applicants should possess a strong desire to teach and advise osteopathic medical students in the curriculums and contribute to the development of the college through teaching and service. Candidates must have outstanding leadership, management, and interpersonal skills to relate to a widely diverse faculty, staff, students and community members. Responsibilities:
Prepare and perform didactic instruction for osteopathic medical students including small group facilitation and clinical skills laboratory sessions, and serve as a facilitator for long distance learning.
Serve as advisor and mentor to osteopathic medical students.
Collaborate and participate in departmental/OU-HCOM activities.
Required: Residency-trained (D.O. or M.D.), Ohio licensure, and appropriate Board certification or eligibility.
Prior undergraduate or graduate level medical education experience preferred.
Preference given to individuals who are clinically active.
