Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow for the Department of Surgery within the New Jersey Medical School.
The Postdoctoral Fellow will conduct surgical research and support the research mission of the department and the development of team science.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Designs/performs experiments, collects/analyzes data, writes manuscripts and presents results.
Maintains records and files of experimental data and databases.
Contributes to computational modeling studies in the lab through direct or collaborative involvement.
Collaborates with other postdocs, residents, students and faculty.
Participates in evaluation of procedures, suggests revisions, and proposes new procedures.
Assists in the writing of grants and IRB protocols.
Assists with the maintenance of the laboratory and research facilities.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Candidate must hold a M.D. or D.O. and have completed a minimum of two years in post graduate training in surgery residency and have an interest in surgical research.
