A job with Student Affairs Marketing provides students the opportunity to work in an agency-like atmosphere where creative problem-solving and collaboration with colleagues lead to the development of effective strategies to build awareness, engagement, and action from target audiences. All Student Affairs Marketing staff will contribute to the strategy, creation, and implementation of various marketing and communications initiatives.
The Work-Study Project Coordinator reports to the Director of Student Affairs Marketing and works closely with various members of the Student Affairs Marketing team and professional staff and clients from around the IMU, Health Center, Dean of Students Office, and many more departments within Student Affairs. The Project Coordinator has responsibilities in project management, implementation, and assessment, described as follows.
The Project Coordinator is responsible for transferring project information from the marketing request system to the team's project management software (Basecamp), entering all critical information, and connecting key stakeholders throughout a project's lifecycle to ensure success. Keeps projects on task and on time, supporting the full-time staff. Oversees the development and production of web and digital content, newsletters, print materials, videos, photography, and other communication products. Establishes and monitors all aspects of a project, including scope, schedule, and resourcing. Communicates effectively with clients throughout the project lifespan to ensure final products meet their needs. Manages workflow (project set-up, daily schedule, deadlines, revisions, deliveries, proofing, editing). Assists other staff members as needed.
This position helps develop strategic solutions to campaigns, as well as ensures marketing campaigns are implemented through various channels (digitally and physically) in a timely fashion.
The Project Coordinator leads assessment efforts for projects, digital communications, websites, media mentions, and more.
Receives and critically evaluates projects requested by Student Affairs colleagues while entering information in project management software.
Collaborates closely with full-time staff regarding creative solutions, assigning tasks to team members, adhering to deadlines, and more.
Strategizes marketing solutions when necessary through collaboration of clients and team members.
Implements marketing efforts across a number of channels - digital signage, calendars, print marketing distribution; collaborates with colleagues to implement social media and email marketing efforts following a daily, weekly, and monthly task list.
Tracks and records various data for assessment purposes, ensuring marketing efforts by the department are effective.
Responsible for making significant and small updates to the various websites within Student Affairs using the Content Management System.
Current Indiana University student.

Understanding of effective marketing tactics. Experience with data-gathering and creating reports. Experience with project software programs. Experience using Website Content Management Systems, with some knowledge of HTML. Strong sense of curiosity and creativity. Passionate about learning.
