As a member of the support services team, this position provides school-wide support and processing of payroll, HRMS, student academic appointments, fiscal transaction processing, travel authorizations and reimbursements, scholarship processing and reimbursements, IU Foundation payments and reimbursements, procurement card management and reconciliation, receiving and general accounting support for the Hamilton Lugar School (HLS) of Global and International Studies (SGIS). Serves as the liaison to purchasing, travel, payroll, Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty and Academic Affairs (VPFAA), and other campus offices and units. Provides guidance regarding university policies and procedures to HLS departments and units.
High school diploma or GED and three years of accounting or budget experience.
Knowledge of computers (Internet and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel). Excellent communication and problem solving skills, including ability to interact with a wide diversity of individuals with varying personalities. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask with frequent interruptions. Experience with SIS, KFS, HRMS, BUY.IU, Chrome River, and IUIE.
Associate or Bachelor's degree. Prior university experience. Knowledge of IU policies and procedures, IU Financial Management, and HRMS policies and procedures.
