Responsible for all pre-award proposals (new, resubmissions and non-competing entry into the PD, SOMERA and sponsor systems) Enter all agreements for the Research Inventory System (RIS) for the Manager of Administration and Financeâ™s approval, Prepare budgets with Administrator and PIâ™s, Update biosketches and other support. Work with subcontractors for all grant submissions. This position works directly with Admin and Finance Manager. The duties include specific processing of all required procedures from pre award submission, reviewing AIS for accuracy along with any corrections; Set- up of all subcontracts and awarded accounts working closely with the Manager of Administration and Finance for all approvals. Maintain an accurate file system. Work with Administrative manager to set up new awarded projects with revised budgets. Update yearly budgets in financial systems with set up of all new budget journals, reallocation journals, and budget reduction journals. Work with Admin and Finance manager and PIâ™s for accurate budget forecasting for all proposals; Review all personnel grant effort with Manager of Administration and Finance. Supervise post award staff member and support administrator with financial reporting and closeout; Update IRB & Update SOW; Supervise Post-award Personnel
BA/BS degree and 3-5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Background in Business, Finance, Management preferred. Successful candidate must be highly motivated, goal oriented, attentive to details, able to work independently, ability to multi-task and have a strong work ethic; 3-5 yearsâ™ experience with NIH grants management (pre and post award), preferably in a research setting, thorough understanding of business process with strong computer skills required. Knowledge of Penn policies, regulations, Ben Financials, Business Objects preferred. Position contingent upon continued funding.
