Work Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Salary Range: Anticipated salary range from $4,372 to $4,900 per month.

Typical Activities Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean of Social and Behavioral Sciences, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
The incumbent will provide telephone or on-site computer support for hundreds of faculty and staff within the college.
The incumbent will provide computer equipment support which includes office computers, research machines, work laptop computers as well as smartphones, scanners, printers, and many other computer peripherals and accessories.
The incumbent will provide support for instructional lab and smart classroom equipment including projectors, dvd/vcr players, microphones, transparency projectors, and work-station computers.
The incumbent will maintain file/network servers, generate/maintain user accounts for an Active Directory, monitor security threats, and maintain computer connectivity to the domain.
The incumbent will draft proposals for purchasing computers, audio-video, and presentation equipment as well as all peripherals, software, and accessories associated with them.
The incumbent will consult on the optimal utilization of computers and audio-video equipment as well as all peripherals, software, and accessories associated with them.
The incumbent will assist in the development of web, desktop, or portable system software applications for use by faculty, staff, and research/graduate assistants in order to effectively meet the needs of the college.
The incumbent will assist in the setup/maintenance of network, power, and communication infrastructure by analyzing site requirements and drafting work orders to the appropriate campus organizations.

Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience:
A combination of education and experience that is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, educational technology, communications, or a related field, or similar certified coursework in applicable fields of study.
Two years of experience in Information Technology or similar field that would provide the skills and abilities to fulfill the requirements of the position.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Applicants must have a working knowledge of classroom technology equipment, systems computer OS, and applications.
Applicants must have a working knowledge of server hardware/software.
Applicant must have a basic working knowledge of enterprise virtualization technologies including VMWare, MS Hyper-V, VDI based technologies, and other desktop virtualization solutions.
Applicant must have a working knowledge of software and Windows systems in a networked environment using Active Directory and Group Policy Objects, along with installation and maintenance procedures.
Applicant must have experience with remediating malware infections, customizing Windows installations, writing documentation, and maintaining asset inventory.
Applicants must have the ability to use internet, various IT management technologies, multimedia technologies, and some graphics design/visualization technologies.
Applicants must have a demonstrated ability to use and troubleshoot problems with *nix, Mac OS, and Windows (Desktop 7 and later, Server 2012 and later) computer systems.
Applicants must have a demonstrated ability to use and troubleshoot problems with applications like the Microsoft Office Suite on Mac/Windows, web browsers, multimedia applications, web browser plug-ins, and other diagnostic and administrative software.
Applicants must have the ability to use consultative skills to assess user needs and provide appropriate technical support for instructional applications.
The ability to collaborate on the design, develop and implement instructional applications, analyze and troubleshoot system connection and interface malfunctions, and resolve hardware and software problems.
Applicants must have the ability to interpret and apply computing standards, protocols, policies, operating procedures, technical specifications, license agreements, confidentiality compliance, copyright laws, etc. to the computing environment.
Applicants must be able to communicate and collaborate professionally, along with the ability to translate and relate technical details to staff/faculty who possess various technical proficiencies.
Applicants must have the ability to manage and organize multiple tasks, interpret written information and instructions, establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students, and members of the outside community.
